Matthew E. Graham


 

Matt is a senior associate and has worked at the firm since its inception in 2017. Matt brings extensive experience in counseling clients on a variety of trademark, copyright, right of publicity, and domain name matters.

Matt’s practice focuses on complex intellectual property disputes across a wide range of industries and clientele including entertainment, fashion, cosmetics, fitness, food and beverage, and other commercial goods and services. Matt has successfully prosecuted hundreds of trademarks in over 50 countries worldwide. He manages global trademark portfolios for a range of businesses, including start-ups, Fortune 500 companies, and celebrities, and provides senior insight in federal and state trademark protection matters in the United States.

Specializing in intellectual property litigation and brand enforcement, Matt has successfully litigated trademark, trade dress, anti-counterfeiting, copyright infringement, and unfair competition cases in state and federal courts in California, as well as trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Matt’s dispute resolution experience includes resolving domestic and foreign trademark and copyright conflicts, negotiating settlement and coexistence agreements, and drafting intellectual property licenses.

Matt is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), and his work has been cited in the Los Angeles Daily Journal (Top Verdicts); Courthouse News, LAW360, PR Newswire, and The Trademark Reporter.

Education

Matt received his B.A. from Occidental College, and his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law, where he graduated with high honors and served as a lead article editor on the Southwestern Journal of International Law.
